How to Audition for The Occidental College Chorus

6:00-9:00 PM in Booth 220

Friday, January 22
1:30-3:30 PM in Booth 220

At your audition you will be asked to sing a solo piece with piano accompaniment. An accompanist will be provided. Pick a piece you know well and feel confident singing; any genre is acceptable (classical, opera, musical theatre, folk, hymn, church song, etc.). Please bring three copies of your audition piece (one for the pianist, one for the director, and one to sing from). The director will also vocalize you to determine your range and what part you sing. A basic tonal memory and sight reading test will also be given. The entire audition will take around 5-10 minutes.
