Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology
The Kinesiology curriculum is designed to provide a broad and comprehensive understanding of the human body at work. This includes studies of basic underlying concepts, as well as application relevant to understanding the complexities of human movement and performance. In order to accomplish this the course work necessarily derives from a variety of disciplines, including chemistry, biology, physics, anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, motor control, nutrition and psychology. This major prepares students for advanced studies in the health related professions and further graduate studies.
