Tsung Chi teaches courses in comparative politics, East Asian politics, Chinese politics, and research methodology. He received his B.A. in political science from National Chengchi University in Taiwan and Ph.D. in political science from Michigan State University. His research interests include democratization in China and Taiwan, China-Taiwan relations, and Asian American politics. In 2006-2007, he was a visiting scholar at Stanford University’s Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center, focusing on Taiwan’s democratization. His most recent publication is East Asian Americans and Political Participation (ABC-CLIO, 2005). Currently, he is working on a book project on comparing East Asian politics. He has been interviewed by the New York Times, Los Angeles Times (San Gabriel Valley Weekly), Pasadena Star News, Asahi News, Voice of America, and many Chinese language newspapers, television stations and radio stations on Chinese politics, Taiwanese politics, and the U.S.-China-Taiwan relations.
